My Bio
Richard Schaaff is a Photographer /Flyfisherman living in
Washington State along the East Fork of the Lewis River. “I dont
recall actually the moment when my photography and the fly
fishing hit the head on with each other…. But when they did I
was a goner”
A photographer needs subjects and I wade alongside two of the
best, Gary Schaaff my brother who has taught me some of the finer points
of flyfishing for trout even though I may never admit it, and my
good friend Dr. Michael O’Toole, who’s enthusiasm & touch for
steelhead are in need of a feature-length film…
And of course my beautiful wife Julie for keeping the front porch
light on for me every night after the hex hatch ends..
Rich was chosen as one of the featured photographers in
midcurrent.com alongside some very talented company. A Flyfishing
website not to be missed.
